When i click on the companion button to dl a file it takes quite a while to really start downloading : scanning is active in green but it shows Ooct.and really starts downloading after a few minutes, five perhaps, when before that happened downloading started immediately after the click.
Must i change something in the settings pannel ?
I refreshed Firefox and reinstalled VDH a few times but didn't change anything. This happens on a site listed where i never encountered this ^problem before.

This often happens when the video is being loaded in parallel in a browser page. The second download of the same URL (the one initiated by VDH) often does not get accurate progress information. This is a Firefox oddity related to cache management.

Thanks for your answer. I just wonder why, if it's a Firefox oddity, it never occurred before the last Firefox update.

Oddities come and go :)

The last version of Firefox brought more of e10s (multi-process). This caused a number of things to work differently. The behaviour you describe does not seem too bad, as long as you get the file in the end.
