Hi.

Is there any "roadmap" for new version of vert.x?

I'm looking for some info about:
- when do you expect the final 3.0 will be delivered (also all stages - like Release Candidate, etc.)
- when do you expect OpenShift will be supporting Vert.X 3.0 (I thinkg - this is good question coz vert.x is supported right now by RedHat...).

Regards
Lukasz.

there is a feature document for vert.x 3, I am not aware of a time line plan.

if you package your vert.x 3 app as fatjar (which is just a shaded jar from maven since there are no modules in vert.x 3 anymore), you should be able to run it in a java8 vm

Hi Alexander.

Thx for info. Where can I find this doc?

OpenShift - there is still a lack  of jdk8 support (you can install this manually but mvn still using 1.7 so building an app is not possible and all-nice-stuff for autoredeploy is not working). However you're right - you can install jdk1.8 manually and then fatjar is working perfectly :D
