Hello!

I thought I'd share my goal factoring template. To use it just click "Make a copy" under the File menu :) Then rename it and use it for your own.
It's basically the template that was in the May 2013 CFAR workbook. I found doing it this way was easier for me than making a chart like Geoff Anders suggests

Also, I copied the Murphyjitsu template if you want to use that:

Cheers,

I've noticed a pair of factors worth distinguishing from one another, and that's whether you are goal factoring based on things that you "want" to do versus things that you are actually doing.

I've noticed that most goal factoring that I have done is of the former type. Although having an exhaustive list of goals has been more of a boon than a bane, I've noticed that there is a long dump of goals that I've never even touched and some that are just there to make me look pretty (in hindsight). It then occurred to me that none of the goal-factoring was on habits I currently have, like Reddit browsing, Facebook use, my programming work or the like.

Right now my goals are in a .org format, proprietary to Emacs' Org-Mode. It's formatted in such a way that it would be unwieldy to manage in anything but Emacs. I kind of want to make all of my goals available for public viewing.

So what kind of outcomes have people had doing goal factoring on something like their daily productivity log versus their bucket list?
