Install GIT:
sudo yum install git
Download Google’s ‘depot tools’ (via git):
http://dev.chromium.org/developers/how-tos/install-depot-tools
Download the v8 source code (via gclient/depot_tools):
https://github.com/v8/v8/wiki/Using%20Git
Build v8 (via GCC + make):
https://github.com/v8/v8/wiki/Building%20with%20Gyp
All the steps are fine until I try to build with gyp. It fails with the following error. Not sure the issue or even where to start trouble shooting. It's an issue with v8.h and #include <utiltiy> statement. I can circumvent by commenting that out but then I begin to see similiar errors with different statement on different *.h files. "gclient sync" seems to update dependencies correctly.
[root@xxxxxx v8]# make native

Can you recompile with make V=1 native and post the command line of the failing compiler step?
