Unable to download V8 on Ubuntu Linux

Trying to compile V8 for Android. I have Depot Tools, G++ etc all setup and running.

The "gclient sync" command seems to exit with an error. On further investigation it seems to fail  in several places. 

Here are some errors:

it looks like the connection to the download servers timed out. Maybe try again?
