What you will do as a User Experience Designer:
 
Design:
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to create graceful & creative design solutions to complicated product needs
  • Development of user flow diagrams and wireframes demonstrating UI for a range of use cases
  • Iterate on many different potential design flows to test a business hypothesis.
  • Create high fidelity visual design mockups of pages and applications for Craftsy.com
  • Assist in user testing flows, test prototypes, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with UX team to determine branding and style guidelines
Develop:
  • Develop pixel-perfect and fully responsive HTML & CSS
  • Work closely with other front and back-end engineers throughout implementation
What will make you a great fit:
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Demonstrated experience working through traditional UX design phases (wireframes/storyboards, mockups)
  • Demonstrated experience designing for responsive websites.
  • Ability to write HTML & CSS from scratch
  • Minimum 3+ years agency/corporate experience in a UI/UX role
  • Experience/preference for working in fast-paced work environment
What gives you bonus points:
  • User research background/experience
  • Experience coding on high traffic (MM+ uniques a month) sites
  • Experience designing for apps (iPhone/Android)
  • Experience with LESS/SASS
  • JavaScript/jQuery experience
  • A passion for arts/crafts and the ‘maker movement’
