UXrs,

Can any of you recommend a good architect / engineer? I need a hosted database with an api started. It would be the beginning of a solution that will supply data to web apps and supporting mobile apps for the field service industry. Ideally I'd like to do open source but I'm open to hearing things.

Best!

Sean

Hey Sean -

Have you considered going with something like https://www.heroku.com/? I had fun with their Platform as a Service(PAAS) and spinning up a system like I think you are referring too. A friend who is a CTO for startups mentioned it.

I'm curious what you have going in the FS area. I cut my teeth years ago doing mobile and tablet GIS solutions for Telcos. I've always thought of edging back that way. We did a little work for Trimble 2 years ago with some RFID stuff too. For some reason, I still love it!

Thanks,

Rich

Richard thanks for that. Let's catch up in person to chat about it in the next week or two.

Best!
