___________________________________________________________
THINGS WE LIKED
- history was the right length for a basic intro (i.e. for design
students)
- Larry Tesler interview "What qualities do you think make a good
interaction designer....'" great response.
- chapter 6 suggests coming up with 100 designs as quickly as possible
& synthesize
- about the Wii - out of the box thinking made a whole new market
THINGS WE DIDN"T
- the history seemed long
- not many people got through more than half
- wasn't as much about what it's like to be an interactive designer
NOTES
- most of what we do is collaboration; which is sometimes more
difficult in a technology heavy environment
- there's a great value in convincing people that ideas are theirs
- having developers watch the user use the product is SOOOO insightful
- the Wii is awesome in its backwards compatibility (it's a wand; the
old controller; the wand)
- reinventing by simplifying in other places - i.e. Wordpad >
Microsoft Word > Google
- Denver Ad Club is having a meeting on fostering creativity in the
age of innovation (at The Curtis)
- Book recommendation - "Snoop"
