United States Mint Call for Artists: Seeking Artists to Design United States Coins and Medals

Notice seeking applications from artists to join the United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program (AIP), granting eligibility to submit designs for nearly all United States coin and medal programs.

Applications are due January 10, 2014. Work samples are due January 28, 2014. Up to 20 artists will be selected to participate in AIP upon which they may be invited to submit designs for selected coin and medal programs. Artists receive between $2000 and $3000 for each design submission, depending on the number of active years in the AIP, and an additional $5000 if their design is selected and used for a coin or medal design. Eligibility is limited to artists who receive at least part of their income from their art or areas related to it and have five years of relevant work experience or have received specialized training in his or her field.
