MEETING STRUCTURE:

So as I outlined last email, we'll return this semester to the "Here Be Dragons" type papers. We'll pull heavily from arXiv, NIPS 2016 accepted papers, and ICLR submissions. When possible, we'll also include the open reviews as supplementary material to glance through.

I've decided to not do a formal voting spreadsheet. Instead, I'll select two or three papers on meeting days, and we'll vote at the meeting which of the three we wish to read next. Suggestions from group members will always enter the poll. Ties will be settled with a chance to switch votes.

Hi All,

I'm noticing already that it will be difficult to schedule this. Would it help if there were half-hour slots? (e.g. 1:30-2:30)?

Also, I'll wrap up the doodle on Friday or Saturday and send out the scheduling mail.
