Subject: National Day of Civic Hacking 9/23 in Washington DC – Join us

National Day of Civic Hacking is happening on Saturday, September 23, 2017, when dozens of cities across the United States host local events to solve community challenges – including in Washington DC

Our Federal Open Data community – with appreciation to VA, DOD, GSA, and SBA Open Data and Innovation leadership -- is collaborating with the Johns Hopkins Sibley Innovation Hub in Washington DC NW to host a local event.

RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/national-day-of-civic-hacking-tickets-37767277945

The National Day of Civic Hacking connects public servants, people with technology skills, graphic designers, problem solvers, and community organizers to show how government can work in the 21st century when we all build together. This DC event will emphasize Federal Open Data to address complex challenges that are priority to us all:

·       Suicide Prevention Innovations

·       Data-Driven Solutions to the Opioid Crisis

·       Lyme Disease Innovations

·       Open Data for Hurricane Disaster Relief

·       Co-Creation of the fourth U.S. National Action Plan for Open Government

More details on Data.gov: https://www.data.gov/event/national-day-civic-hacking/

Join us in bringing the community together to tackle important issues facing our city and nation.
