More API odds and ends

Howdy folks,  

As you may have seen, I’ve started coworking on a few API-related sideprojects.  Here’s some neat tidbits we’ve come across that I thought I’d share:

• A great post from the Library of Congress on working with their API
• Code.gov has launched their API and developer hub
• The UK's Government Digital Service launched their API data and technical standards, inspired in part by the 18F API standards
• This is from a few months ago, but the USPS Inspector General issued an API strategy for the agency, which I think is pretty darn cool.  More IGs should be looking at and thinking about this topic.  
• If you're interested in federal ArcGIS web services, there's a whole bunch of them linked off from here.  
• The outstanding site search people over at search.gov continue to do great things with APIs.  My current favorite is the Type-ahead API, but be sure to check out the others in their developer hub.  

For those of you in the DC area, don't forget that there's a DC API Meetup on the first Tuesday of each month and we're always looking for more presentations.
