Hi Shawn!

I was previously at CFPB during the time we were building that site, and I'm now at 18F. My thinking on security (and staying in compliance with multiple OMB mandates) has evolved, which led to us hosting this kind of material differently. It's really important for the Government to maintain control over it's DNS destiny, and run systems on .gov wherever possible. Can go into more detail on that if necessary.

Suffice to say, we recently launch a bunch of things (h/t to Mike Bland) to make sites like that easy:
