On are trying to display / layer the census data (population, income, education, ...) for counties on maps and wanted to know if there is an API to access the shape file at a block or block group level directly from the US Census server?

Currently we are downloading data from the US Census server and storing the shape file data at a census track lever on our server but want to explore if there is a API to access the shape file thru an API at a census block / group level so that it can be displayed directly on the OpenStreet map during run time and not needing to store the data on our server.

Thanks in advance for your time and insides!

We were successful in accessing the Tigerweb for accessing demographics data however we are only able to get tract level data not able to get block level or group level data. Below is the code we are currently using. Could you let us know how we can get block level or group level data.

Thanks in advance for your support!
