Is there any way to RELIABLY relate an FBO award notification to an AWARD in the FPDS system?

This sounds so easy, but so far, I can't see any reliable relationship.  I see a common field, solicitationID, but when looking at the relationship and sometimes finding a match, the obligated amount or Vendor differ greatly.

To be specific, I am trying to relate the contacts listed in the FBO record to a contract in the FPDS system.

I am confused as to why these APIs can't seem to provide all the available data from their sources as these two systems must be tied together or communicate at some level.

Any suggestions would help me greatly.

Thank you.

Chris

Let me clarify this a bit.   Link data from the FPDS ATOM Feed to the FBO Daily extract files.

Hi Chris,
FBO and FPDS do relate to each other via internal interfaces. In the IAE TO-BE we are and will be focusing on establishing those relationships between IAE function areas such as opportunities, contract report data, vendor registrations. In the AS-IS there was no requirement to relate the data sets via API.

We could discuss if there is a way for you to use the ATOM feed with an extract for FBO, that could work depending on what you are doing. We can chat if you would like.

Hi Pam,

I am wondering if this has now been implemented?

Best Regards,
Amar
