I feel like all my posts are OT these days... Sorry.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone works a place that would be cool with someone occasionally stealing a desk space for a few hours when one is traveling between SLC and Utah County and it doesn't make sense to drive home just to turn around and drive back for the XYZ meetup a few hours later - especially when one could spend that time coding.

I find myself in this situation right now, for example, so I'm just awkwardly... err... I mean confidently taking a spot in a lobby...

Or even trading some pairing time in exchange for it?

I feel like I need to grow a dirty beard and hold a sign reading "Will train on feature X of technology Y for desk space".

You should check with the guys at DevPointLabs. They've got a super cool space downtown and I'm sure they wouldn't mind having some experienced programmers around.

I will. Honestly, sometimes it would just be nice to spend a day out of home and have breaks where I can work on someone else's problems, just for a 30 minute break to let my mind rest from my own.

Although risky to be running around in public, being a wanted man and all:

Try coffee shops. I work mainly out of Starbucks on 3900 S and 900 E in SLC and love it. Feel free to join me any time.
