Hi all,
Starting August 1st, 2018 - Facebook has shut off access to "publish_actions" permissions which means that users will need to native Facebook Sharing (Widgets, and Modals) to share content, and thus not being able to share content behind the scenes.
That being said, you will not longer be able to send "facebook=on" in /checkin/add. To share a check-in to FB, you'll need to use native of web dialog from Facebook with the URL of the checkin that is created. You can construct the url as /user/USERNAME/checkin/CHECKIN_ID.
We're still actively looking at other solutions - but wanted to let everyone know. No errors will occur on your side, but the check-in will not be shared after 8/1/18.
