it's just 25 lines of code, but it works: https://github.com/michielbdejong/resite is a minimal webserver which uses a reStore store as a backend (so your choice of file-based or redis).

it's meant for people who want to hack their website hands-on. once you run reSite as your webserver, you can edit write unhosted web apps to edit your website through remoteStorage.

my longer-term goal with this is to write a sockethub app that both updates my website, and tweets the update at the same button click. but for now it's mainly a proof-of-concept, which hopefully other people can also write custom unhosted blogging apps for.
