Dongle front end repair....??

I am beginning to accumulate non-working dongles. I have at least two that seem to play OK with SDR Sharp, but nothing gets through the antenna port. One I am sure was the victim of a close lightning strike; another just quit on me.

Is it possible to dig in and replace the front end diodes? Or even identify that as a problem? Any advice as to a starting point would be appreciated. I am too cheap to just trashcan these items……..
