Balloon launch today?

Anyone launch a balloon today.  I've been on Big Jet TV, on You Tube.  Someone posted there was a balloon on Flight radar 24, near Gatwick.  I checked, and it shows up as testing.  It might be a national weather service balloon, but interesting to find anyway.

Curious. The data for sites like FR24 comes from radio signals sent out by aircraft, generally on 1090MHz in Europe I believe. For a balloon to appear it would have to be transmitting the right format on that frequency. There are lots of folk with reporting stations, I'm one of them. 😀😀 Sounds like an alternative way of tracking. 😀😀

Did it reveal any altitude information ? Could it have been an hot air balloon with adsb transponder ?
