Does anyone know where version 5.3(UK) [single channel record] or a later version than 1.0(UK) [dual channel record]
can be found for a Digihome PVR80 / PVR160 / DTR0207 or Vestel T810? all the same software.
There doesn't seem to be an off-air download scheduled for the near future so upgrading via the serial link seems to be my best option.
Just hoping.

You could try a "forced download".
This one is common, and works with all Thomson boxes - TuTV, SKY etc.,
But you could try it:
1. Menu
2. 4 Set-Up
3. 6 Help
4. Press Remote control keys:1397
5. Scroll down to 10 Force next OAD (Over Air Download)
6. OK
7. Put in standby

OR...

Switch off
Disconnect from power socket
Then whilst pressing together "Power" and "Menu" buttons with one hand -
plug into power outlet
If it goes into standby with both red and green lights illuminated then the
forced download is taking place - leave it to complete.

If that didn't work, try again as above but press together "Menu" and "Rec"

On the digihome there is a menu seting to check for latest software (& download if available).
The last off-air was back in Feb. & I didn't get it.
Hoping someone might know its web whereabouts, it sure aint available from Vestel, Digihome or Cabot.
Still hoping,

"forced download" is a technicians trick not made available to customers.
They are not detailed in instruction manuals nor support sites.
"forced downloads" locate and access any downloads available.
Try it.

It might be a "technician's trick" but it still will do absolutely
nothing if there is no firmware being broadcast for it to pick up. And
according to http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/download_schedule.pl there
is no firmware for that device being broadcast in the next couple of
weeks om either the engineering channels or the SDN download channel.
