Yes.

Saw it.

A well-deserved sentence, though well short of the max. Texting whilst
driving (or cycling) is clearly a growing menace and needs to be clamped
down.

But at least the defendant had enough decency and common sense to plead
guilty.

What did you make of the victim's widow's plea that he not be sent to
prison?

That surprised me.
