Residents of Selby Street fear someone will be killed if something is not done to stop drivers from speeding.
Neighbours say cars are flying down the street at 60mph and the problem is increasing as drivers use is as a rat run to avoid Anlaby Road. There are also concerns about parking during match days at the KC Stadium and Hull Fair.
Ray Renton, 64, lives on Selby Street and believes something needs to be done soon.
He said: "It is a wonder no one has been killed yet. I saw a motorbike overtake other cars down here and he was going in excess of 60mph.
