Their own website is kaput, and I don't have the phone number. What an
embuggerance :(

Oddly enough usenet is fine ???

Did you get Jason's message to the mailing-list about the Easter break?
The website seems to be OK from here, and so is my internet connection
(Entanet, on a BT-operated ADSL line).
If your UKFSN connection is one of the Entanet ones, call Entanet support
about any connection problems. Presumably the other providers used also
have support numbers.

Yes, but it's after Monday now.

Parts of the website still work here. The 'domains' section
https://manage.ukfsn.org/ seems OK but the main entry point
http://ukfsn.org/ times out as does the webmail access point
http://www.ukfsn.org/webmail/
My own (UKFSN) website seems fine, and as I said the UKFSN usenet link
is OK - otherwise I wouldn't be responding here! I have no problem
browsing any other website.

I recently transferred to the C&W adsl option, but I don't think this
would have any bearing on what seems a problem internal to UKFSN.

I don't use the email or web services, but the main website and account
and ADSL pages all work normally for me.

Perhaps this is something to put to the mailing list.

Very strange.

How? !!!

How odd. Web hosting, e-mail and NNTP have been been working well all
weekend. I use Enta for web connectivity but everything else goes through
UKFSN servers.
Are you quite sure its isn't a problem with BT kit somewhere en route?

Hmmm. Everyone who has responded so far seems to be on enta.
Can someone grab the UKFSN telephone number and post it here - or put it
somewhere I can find it without e-mail! I've never thought to make a
note of it.
I'd like to ring them in the morning while I'm off work.

By email. You have got more than one email address, haven't you? If not
get a free one and <mailto:users-...@lists.ukfsn.org?subject=subscribe>

But why would this kick in only from Monday evening?
There is definitely an obscure routing problem of some sort. If I use
Tor I can access all the parts of UKFSN that I otherwise can't. The
question is who's responsible? BT, C&W, UKFSN?
P.S.
Funny that I worked out how to use Tor some time ago on a 'just in
case' basis. This has to be the most unlikely use for it.
P.P.S.
I can't sleep, that's why I'm here now. OK!

Stranger, and stranger. Everything seems to be back to normal now.

Actually no. It's never been a problem before!

Very true, and I pick up this mailing list with pop3, which wasn't
working until *after* I'd discovered a work around, but by then usenet
wasn't working while they fixed another problem. This made any further
commenting here somewhat unlikely.

Not for me for most of yesterday!
Was OK by late evening, and still OK today...

I use eternal-september for my news.
So neither depends on a working UKFSN at all (except that something
has to send the mailing list mail to me of course).
