Ni kweli wamefanikisha lengo lao, lakini we have something to do.
Sioni haja ya kukaa baa na kunywa bia nyingi na A yako ya Math na huku
kuna watu hata Dar wanafeli kwa sababu ya kukosa mwalimu mzuri.
Why cant we have a move? mimi kuna project ambayo IBM wali-propose kwa
Nawasilisha,

Good People you know?? What this means to me, it's a generation completely lost! Where are the future decision makers if a generation can massively fail! How are we positioned to take over global and regional market that is knocking in our door steps. Are we going to complain that foreigners are taking our jobs while our local population can't make it in education People listen! The massive failure and deteriorating education standards are attributed to the government plan of kila kata na shule ya sekondari policy which was unmatched with resources allocation to finance the same. Most schools were built by Nguvu za wananchi and the government did not provide teachers and other essentials of learning. We ended up having buildings with no facilities in the name of schools. This resulted to hiring untrained teachers of whom majority were failures in the national exams and didn't proceed to the next level to instruct our students. With no books, teachers and even a syllabus copy for reference we could not expect anything better than this Most of us come from the villages where there are no public libraries and even bookshops clearly tell you how this students were struggling! Let ask ourselves what does the ministry of education which is represented to district levels doing, do they have statistics of how many secondary schools we have! Do they know how many trained teachers each school has! Has the poor exam result been received by them as a surprise! The Government and its Policy Making organs! I was surprised the other day when a heard one of the legislators asking for remarking of the exam scripts! Little did he know that those script had nothing of substance written in them apart from the student name and exam centre. The government doesn't want to talk of the issue for fear of portraying itself as having failed in a basic provision to its citizen. A committee should be formed to investigate the massive failure of which we all know of and be published and task the government to work on its findings to the fullest .A public office holder should not only enjoy riding the big vehicles na kuitwa mheshimiwa but held accountable. Which way Forward! My Version We should go back to the drawing board and evaluate the kila kata na sekondari policy. We have no enough teachers and the government has no resources to run the many schools. Again even if it had the financial muscles there are teachers in that big number to be employed in those schools. If I was the minister or a decision maker in this education docket, I would abolish the kila kata policy and instead create centers of excellence in each district which will adopt the campus mode of teaching. Though the attention will not even be anything close to 70% but they will be assured of at least 50% which with their own input will reverse the results to 80% pass and 20% fail and there we will be assured of a bright future genearation Regards Nchagwa M Magasi P.O.B.O.X 4515 Dar es salaam Mobile: +255 717 377 349 +255 765 119 394 +255 784 348 714 --- On Wed, 2/2/11, Ellis Nkunga <nku...@gmail.com> wrote: |

always believe on this,we should think of creating enrichment programs
which can also server as centre of excellence to our country.
Its my believe, we have not used our time to that extent for the
betterment of our young generation.ICT based education will help to
eradicates some of the challenge revealed so far by kila kata na
secondary policy.but here we are adding the loads..student should
learn how to use ICT for learning at the same time learning their
contents.
