Cant connect to server using Mac OSX

Hi, as a novice here having real trouble connecting my nighthawk netgear router to the VPN server.
followed the step by step guide on the netgear page but when I try and connect the VPN it just hangs trying to connect.
Any help much appreicated :(

shows that the OpenVPN server in your router (IP address 86.162.150.252, port 12974) did not respond to your computer's requests to initiate communication.
This means that your router must be running OpenVPN on port 12974; so please check that.
If that doesn't help and nobody else responds with a solution, you should contact Netgear support for help with this.

I don't know how to change it on the router.
To change it in the Tunnelblick / OpenVPN configuration, select the configuration on the left side of the Configuration panel of Tunnelblick's VPN Details window, then click on the little gear icon below the list of configurations and click on "Edit OpenVPN Configuration File".
You can only edit a private configuration. If it is shared you need to change it to shared first, using the gear menu.
