Error Failed after Reinstalling - Installation or Repair Failed

Hi

I am using Yosemite 10.10.5.

I had Tunnelblick working and not it is not..

I have uninstalled and installed the application.  After reinstallation I cannot launch Tunnelblick.  I am getting an error  Installation or Repair Failed

What version of Tunnelblick are you using? If not the latest beta version, try that, and if not the latest stable version, try that).

The problem is shown here:

I don't know why that would be happening. If you didn't uninstall using the instructions at Uninstalling Tunnelblick, you should do that and then try to install from a freshly-downloaded and verified copy of Tunnelblick from the Tunnelblick Downloads page.

I never received an answer from Mihir Patel to my question, but one other person had a similar problem. Some of the system folders on their boot drive had incorrect permissions and fixing those permissions fixed the problem. Since then I have added more checks in Tunnelblick to test for this type of problem. For more details, please see System Folder Security.
