Tunnelblick could not find a 'tun' or 'tap option in the OpenVPN configuration file

When I log in to my Mac (either user account, both Admin) the first time I click on Tunnelblick on the topbar, it freezes (I get the spinning wheel if I hover over the icon) and after 30 seconds I get a popup error : Tunnelblick could not find a 'tun' or 'tap option in the OpenVPN configuration file.

If I go back to Tunnelblick again, I can connect to the same server (or others) without any issues. And repeated disconnects and connects work fine too - just the first time after user logon.

All my config files (Private Internet Access) have "dev tun" in them on the second line, and were added on one account (Apply to all Users., but the problem is for both accounts.)

So the hang was caused by tunnelblickd (Tunnelblick's "daemon" being unable to create a temporary directory -- which shouldn't happen unless there is something very wrong with the system or if the system was not fully "up" when tunnelblickd tried to create the directory.

Please try having Tunnelblick NOT launch when you log in: Quit Tunnelblick, log out, log back in, wait a couple of minutes and then launch Tunnelblick manually. See if you can connect.

When I log in to my Mac (either user account, both Admin) the first time I click on Tunnelblick on the topbar, it freezes (I get the spinning wheel if I hover over the icon) and after 30 seconds I get a popup error : Tunnelblick could not find a 'tun' or 'tap option in the OpenVPN configuration file.

If I go back to Tunnelblick again, I can connect to the same server (or others) without any issues. And repeated disconnects and connects work fine too - just the first time after user logon.

All my config files (Private Internet Access) have "dev tun" in them on the second line, and were added on one account (Apply to all Users., but the problem is for both accounts.)
