I live in a country with an authori *cough* tarian gov .. Recently it seems ISPs started "cooperating" and throttling or killing openvpn packets :/ Some research later, and I understand my options involve tunneling inside ssh or ssl tunnels (hate the extra overhead), running obfsproxy (hard to support), and the simple xor patch.

Seemingly Tunnelblick devs see the xor patch in positive light [0] ... This is great news for community members who might not be technically competent enough to build their own versions of openvpn. Since tunnelblick developers already see the usefulness of this patch, and had some of their developers review it, and even ship it in their product (so they are committed to maintaining this patch). I would like to propose tunnelblick devs take the extra step of building & offering openvpn with this patch applied on all major OSs. TunnelBlick has enough credibility (to me at least) that I wouldn't hesitate to point friends to use their build. This will be very helpful in raising the adoption of this patched version, to those who need it. Thanks!

Thank you very much for the vote of confidence, but the Tunnelblick developers do not have the expertise to build OpenVPN for other operating systems. OS X is all we do.
