HI All,

I encountered a strange issues yesterday with build 4625 on OSX 10.11.6.

it seems that long usernames are not being passed along to the server when authenticating.
no issues with authenticating or connecting as another user on the same client/host/version. the users username was 21 characters long (in the format <first>.<last>)

The previous version installed was Tunnelblick 3.6.7c (build 4606) worked without issue.
Once we rolled back to this version the user could authenticate without issue.

Regards

I'm sorry about this problem; thanks for reporting it.

I don't think it has to do with the length of the username, I think it has to do with non-ASCII characters in the username. If that's true, I have a way to fix it, but am not able to test the fix myself.

If you (or anyone else) are willing to test a pre-release version of Tunnelblick which I believe will fix this problem, please write me privately at my Gmail address, "jkbullard" and I will send you a link to download it.
