Hi there,

i find it unbelievable that Tumblr cancelled the app of my website www.getfollows.org .

This website i worked 5 months on and is live for 6 yrs  without having any problems.

At the moment Tumblr is telling me with just 1 line of explination that i am spamming, which is not true because non of my functions
are automated.

I find it highly unprofessional of Tumblr:  that they just cancell api's where someone spend 5 months work on, without giving a good explination.

So i would like to warn other developers for using this Api since Tumblr is not even give me a good explination what is wrong in my site.

Just the links to the general condition.  "look and you shall find."

Maybe someone of the Tumblr team would like to respond to my complain here!

With kind regards,

Don't encourage insincere gestures, by for example, creating “follow trains”.
What part of this don't you understand? It took me 5 minutes to find it but it should be pretty obvious. I am surprised your site lasted this long.

WTF is a follow train, nothing on my website is automatic, so users can decide themself which users they want to follow. Its exactly the same structure tumblr uses
on their system, so what is the definition of a followtrain. Maybe you should be more clear!

Also i had this disgussion with Tumblr 6 yrs ago they checked my website and told me everything was good and correct , and now we having the same disgussion again.

Very unprofessional.  I would advice every developer not to make use of the Tumblr api since you are dealing with a highly unprofessional organisation that change from
oppinion every time. Also their general conditions are very unclear and when they dont like it they just kill your api and your website in which you put a lot of efford in.

Also when you ask them you dont get a good answer and also you are answered in a rude way. So people avoid using the Tumblr api and use Twitter instead!

Can i get the definition of a followertrain? I had the same discussion 6 yrs ago, and tumblr approved my site, so how come its again disapproved?

My site have not any automatic functions and users decide theirself if they follow a user or not!

Can i get a better answer from you?
