Python 3 adoption?

I notice there's an open issue (#51) and pull request (#66) to update pytumblr to Python 3, neither of which has been addressed in a little while. Is there any movement towards actually making this happen? Or is there a particular reason not to?

I'm aware that a couple of people have forked it or rolled their own; I'm wondering about py3 support in the tumblr-supplied library.
