When submitting a video post, the API returns a valid post ID, which when immediately queried for, returns a post with the status: transcoding.

However, once the transcoding is completed (usually a couple of seconds later), the post ID becomes invalid and the post becomes public with a different post ID.

For all other posts (text, photo, etc), the initial returned post ID stays valid. It is only for videos that this is a problem.

Am I missing something here? Short of iterating through the blog posts to find the correct post, how can devs get the correct video post ID for storage?

It's difficult to decide which is more frustrating, this phantom ID business, or the complete lack of reference to it in the docs and here.

Hi,

When publishing a video, you cannot know if the video was published successfully or not. You also cannot reference this phantom ID later to check if it was published after all....
Is there any plan to improve this flow?

Thank you
