The mac build is up to date with the other 2 platforms now (so it can
read their files, etc).

It is now building with wxWidgets 2.9, which I had good hopes for in
terms of it reducing the amount of mac UI issues. Sadly, it appears to
have gone backwards, as now the scrollbars are also misbehaving at
times.

Several days of attempting workarounds haven proven fruitless, so the
mac version still comes with the label "only worth downloading if you
REALLY like TreeSheets and are desperate to also use it on the mac".
Sorry :(

The download is as always here:

http://treesheets.com/Treesheets_MacOSX.zip

I have taken the link off the front page, to avoid people downloading
the mac version without reading, and then being dissapointed with
TreeSheets.
It will go back on there if a future version is of sufficient quality.

from the readme:

TreeSheets for MacOSX Alpha (treesheets.com)

This is mostly a direct port from the windows/linux version, and does
NOT adhere to Mac UI standards! Do NOT use this software if you want a
polished experience. It is Alpha quality (which comes before Beta! ;)

The main functionality is "usable", so ok for those who *desperately*
need to be using TreeSheets on a Mac, but expect lots of random things
to not work in the UI.

This software is likely to be "Alpha" for quite a while, as the source
of most issues is the very incomplete and buggy Mac (Carbon-only) port
of wxWidgets, which TreeSheets is based on. It is simply too much work
for me to write workarounds for all of them. As wxMac improves, so
will TreeSheets on the Mac.

One of the biggest issues is that the toolbar (which contains the
search functionality) is turned off, since it is terribly broken. If
you need search/replace, you will need to turn it on (see the options
menu) and deal with its buggyness.

The scrollbars also don't work correctly.

This release DOES support multiple files, but not how you'd expect it
on a Mac, it uses tabs. Sorry.

Thanks heaps to Robert Pointon (fernlightning.com) for his help
getting the initial port done.

todays update (2012-01-15) has improved the mac version significantly!

- faster
- doesn't appear to crash anymore
- scrollbars work
- copy paste works (for non-international characters)
- toolbar and statusbar now work
- insert grid now has a shortcut (CTRL+g)
- tabs render correctly

in all, functionality-wise it is now fully useable, it just still looks very non-mac native. In particular the color drop downs look and behave wrong, but are usable.
