This is the latest in ongoing green networking meetings at Tea 4 U
Monmouth County has been home to a timebank for several years. This alternative to the cash-based economy needs more members!
Join Monmouth County's TimeBank
A Time Bank is a community system where a person who volunteers one hour of their time helping someone else gains an hour time credit. They can then use that timecredit or their accrued time credits to receive help from someone else. Everyone's time is equal no matter what each hour is spent doing!
TimeBanking means getting things done and connecting with people.
TimeBanking is a way to practice progressive values: that we all have something to contribute, that many kinds of activities qualify as 'work', that mutual aid and social networking make communities stronger, and that we all are equally worthy of respect.
TimeBanking, as one of many ways to strengthen local economy, is part of Transitioning to more resilient communities
Monmouth County's TimeBank needs YOUR unique contribution to be strong and diverse.
