Dialogue: Terrorism Past and Present
George Zilbergeld, PhD, Professor, Rutgers University
Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 9:00am (8:45 coffee and bagels)
1475 West Front Street, Lincroft
Terrorism in its modern form differs from terrorism throughout history. Never before have we need to ask the question, “Are we at war?” In modern democracies, we are challenged to balance individual rights with our societal rights. The US, of course, has the Bill of Rights precisely because some folks thought we needed to lean more toward the rights of individuals. This is where I my talk will become a question that I hope we can answer together.
Dr. Zilbergeld has taught in several parts of the US with the bulk of his time spent in Arkansas and New Jersey. His areas of expertise include American Government and Public Policy Analysis. He has been doing analysis and research on terrorism for over thirty years.
