In The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, investigative reporter Greg Palast, accompanied by a number of well-known actors, presents a dramatic account of a secret purge of 7.2 million voters in the United States. Palast leads the effort to track down the funders of this massive disenfranchisement, which may have affected the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.  

The architect of the purge effort, called Crosscheck, is Kris Kobach, head of the federal 'election integrity commission', which has been in the news this week: https://www.democracynow.org/2017/9/13/background_checks_for_voting_inside_the

Renowned American author, the late James Baldwin, tells the story of race in America. This film is based on his unfinished novel, Remember This House .  
Featuring Baldwin, Samuel L. Jackson, and Harry Belafonte.
Special guest moderator Timothy Clark will lead a discussion afterwards.
