Dr. Kasturi ‘Rumu’ DasGupta

When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, Francis Fukuyama famously announced an ‘end of history’ with the defeat of socialism and the clear global victory of capitalism. How can the growing inequalities, unending war and violence, global refugee crisis be assessed in the context of that assertion?

Originally from India, Dr. DasGupta has been in the US for over 40 years. She has taught sociology at GeorgianCourt University for the last 25 years and has always tried to live the social justice legacy of her discipline.
