WATCH: Trump asks whether protester at rally was “a man or a woman”
At a rally in Minnesota, Trump mocked a person who was removed for protesting
President Donald Trump mocked a protester at one of his rallies on Wednesday by asking whether he was “a man or a woman.”
The President was speaking to his supporters in Duluth, Minnesota when he was interrupted by a protester holding up a photo of Donald Trump with his former friend Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire financier who in 2008 was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. Under the picture of the two men was the caption: “Who is Jeffrey Epstein?”
Video shows Trump asking security to remove the protester while his supporters furiously point to the man so that security can find him. Security found and began to march the man out of the rally, who continued to chant “USA” as he was removed.
The man wasn’t the first protester of the night. When another person started to cause a ruckus, Trump made a show of having them removed as well.
“Oh we have a single protester, there we go. Goodbye, darling,” Trump said, adding after she was being escorted out, “So we have a single protester, he’s going home to his mom. Say hello to mommy. And tomorrow, the fake news will say tomorrow, massive protests at the Trump rally. One person. Massive protests.”
Despite a campaign promise by the president that he would be an “ally” to the LGBTQ community, Trump’s administration has been criticized for its targeting of the transgender community.
Trump unleashed a series of tweets in July saying that the United States would not allow transgender individuals to “serve in any capacity in the U.S. military,” claiming they would serve as a distraction and that the cost of transgender-related medical care would be too burdensome.

The Trump administration has also reportedly tried to find ways to gut nondiscrimination protections
within the Affordable Care Act which allow transgender patients to
obtain coverage for their medically necessary transition-related health
care.
