150500 PD BRT Feedback Styrene Bus Stop Sign.jpgBRT station locations: it’s time to weigh in

Do you ride the bus in the Powell-Division corridor?

Tell us what you think of proposed locations for bus rapid transit stations.

Take a 10-minute survey, open now through January 8, 2016.

www.trimet.org/survey

Bus rapid transit will bring faster, more reliable bus service to Portland and Gresham as early as 2020.

BRT stations will have benches, better lighting and weather protection and be ADA accessible. Riders wait on platforms, not the sidewalk, so that when the bus arrives, they can get on more easily and comfortably. The BRT stations will be spaced further apart, making for a faster trip.

Your input will be shared with decision-makers so they can shape a BRT project that best meets people’s needs. Tell us:

  • your thoughts on station locations
  • where stations might be added or removed
  • factors that might make it challenging to get to a station
  • which things would most improve the experience taking bus rapid transit

The survey is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and Russian.

What will happen to today’s bus lines?

TriMet isn't yet making plans for changes to existing bus service on the new bus rapid transit route, but we do know this: all of Powell and Division will continue to be served by transit every 15 minutes or better. After the bus rapid transit line is approved and funded, TriMet will lead a more extensive conversation with the community and bus riders.
