Hi PAC members, alternates, and interested parties,

Happy February! We have a great workshop planned for the February PAC meeting. We’ll be diving into the TSP project list and looking to come out with the following outcomes:

  • PAC consensus on the top 5-10 projects that should be funded in the next five years
  • A volunteer(s)/subcommittee willing to communicate about those top projects or programs as necessary (letters/testimony to the Portland Planning and Sustainability Commission and City Council).

IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK, YOU MUST DO SOME HOMEWORK (pinky-swear that you will)! By Tuesday morning, please do the following:

  1. Look over the attached spreadsheet: This spreadsheet identifies the 290 projects on the city’s constrained and unconstrained list.
  1. Those projects identified in the “Timeframe” column as either Years 1-10 or Years 11-20 are on the constrained list. They’re also identified with an “X” in the “Financially Constrained” column.
  2. Please scan through the constrained projects and choose your top ten
  1. Take this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WXK3S37. Please select your top ten projects from this list by Tuesday at 8am!!!

I suggest using the spreadsheet to organize and sort the project and program list to identify your 10 top priorities. Then, go to the survey to vote for those 10 top projects and programs.

For more information on the TSP in general, please look at the TSP project website: http://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/63710 . A good place to start may be the TSP Online Open House: http://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/article/517209 . You may want to pay especial attention to the flier: “How to comment on the TSP”: http://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/article/517215

This is going to be super-fun. See you Tuesday!
