Hi,

I am using the following configuration:
- Windows XP x86 sp3
- TortoiseSVN Version 1.6.10 (19898)

When I click the "create repository here" option, I get the following error:
"Subversion reported an error while creating a repository!
Make sure the folder is empty and not write protected."

When I check the permissions of the folder, the "Read-only" tick-box is
ticked. So logically, I un-tick it, granting full access and then try to
repeat the aforementioned process. But the same error pops up. And now that
I check the permissions again, the "Read-only" tick-box is reset!

Please help me solve this predicament.

Regards,

The readonly box is always reset for folders, because it has no effect
there, only on files.
You have to check the access rights for your logged on user. You need
full permissions, not just write permissions. You can set those
permissions in the "security" tab of the properties dialog of Explorer.

Thanks! I will try this out immediately (as soon as I log on to Windows).
