Subscribe messages from ROS for Torch/Lua

I trained a CNN model for image segmentation and it will be ok to test with webcam.

However, when I want to use another type of camera, the driver is written in C++. I can get images in opencv and publish it as ROS message. I'm wondering how can I subscribe that messages from Lua/Torch?   The roslua and torch-ros libraries are not working for me. Does anyone have any ideas of how to do this or how to use these two libraries? Thanks!
