installing torch without root/sudo permissions

Is there an easy way to install torch when one does not have root or sudo permissions?

If you already have all the dependencies installed (via this link https://github.com/torch/ezinstall/blob/master/install-deps), then it's easy, as torch now is installed locally by default, see http://torch.ch/docs/getting-started.html#_
