I am on OS X version 10.10.3, and followed the installation steps on the torch website. I find that I have been able to install torch as I can use luarocks and luarocks list print among other torch as installed. However, I am not able to use th (the interactive environment) even though I have performed source ~/.profile. Can anybody help me?

On my I have to use . .bashrc. See if that helps. If not: please, go to a terminal prompt type 'env' and paste the results here.

sorry, I am really bad at modifying my bash-files. Could you please just elaborate a little bit with sequential (valid) terminal comments? I greatly appreciate it..

Try the following:

Close any open terminal windows and quite the terminal app.

Restart terminal.

at the prompt type

env

followed by a return.

Copy the text printed byt the env command, and paste it into a reply.

Ok?
