So I mentioned to some of the ShadyTel folks that I had an old office PBX(?) system, I think. So, I thought I would post a few pictures and see if it sparked any interest, or if anyone knows something about it.

It's labeled Omega III and and hails from Japan...

I'm happy to take more/better pictures if there is any interest in this thing. I originally picked it up from CraigsList in the hopes that I could use it to set up a mini-network so my collection of old computers could call each other. But the project is a bit beyond the scope of my knowledge at this point.

Thanks!

Hi Ron, I was one of the people from Shadytel that you spoke to. Sarah, with the rainbow dreadlocks.

Huh, looks like its a weird key system/pbx mashup. I don't think any of us have room for it at this point. I know that Astrid and I already have working key systems in our houses. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with it :D

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for getting back to me. Looking through the manual, it looks like something that might be fun to set up here at my place. I am however totally ignorant of phone stuff, so it's going to be a significant project. Any suggestions on forums or resources to direct my research would be welcome.

Thanks!
Ron
