Short Story "Gay"

Hi, all.

I'm trying to track down a short story that I believe Ms. Oates wrote
in about 1976 or 1977. I think it was entitled "Gay," and it was
about a closeted professor at a small Canadian college. Is anyone
familiar with this story, and is it available in print anywhere? Any
help appreciated!

The story "Gay" appeared in the Dec 1976 Playboy, and was reprinted, as far as I know, only in The Best American Short Stories 1977.
