Hello,

I used an early version (around 0.5) of tikzDevice on my machine awhile back
without any problems. With the latest version, I get errors associated with
accessing log files stored in tempdir (see below). tikz generates output,
but from only the first plot command and excludes all text. Any idea what
I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Audrey

Hi Audrey,

It looks like pdflatex is not writing out a log file for some reason. No
idea why this is happening---perhaps it is related to TeX Live 2011 in some
way. The temporary directory is definitely writable as a metrics dictionary
was created. Can't say for sure what is going as I have only ever used
MikTeX to do typesetting on Windows.

Unfortunately I am in the middle of writing a paper at the moment, so it is
difficult for me to rip MikTeX out and replace it with TeX Live to try and
reproduce this.

Thanks, Charlie. I think the last time I used tikzDevice was before I
switched from MiKTeX to TL. When I find some time, I'll try re-
installing MiKTeX as workaround - I'm guessing both distributions can
exist on the same machine without too many problems.
