Thanks for the information on the sordid history of Wavecrest Labs. I didn't know half the information you listed.

Thanks!

Thanks Ambrose. Much of the info was gleaned from my local dealer Ken,
who's cited several times in the piece. As far as I know he was the
very first bike dealer to sign on with Tidalforce, and become one of
its most enthusiastic cheerleaders, as well as a top seller. He also
visited the factory in Dulles on a couple occasions.

I still have very fresh memories of the week that Wavecrest pulled the
plug on TF and I snagged Uma after stalking the S750X bikes for months
on eBay. Great day for me but very sad one for Ken and all the other
TF dealers and employees. I would love to know how many real TF bikes
are still on the road.

You and I must be brothers from different mothers! I bought my S-750 (non-X) from eBay when E+ was clearing out their warehouse. The front hub battery was dead but the seller (a former E+ employee) had 2 spare batteries and an X motor not laced into rims for sale. I have now mounted the X motor and good front hub battery on the S-750 and am very happily riding it.

That's great to hear Ambrose! How long have you been riding it?

One trip on Saturday! :)

It's a nice improvement over the 750W. I didn't have my Cycle Analyst installed so couldn't tell exactly what was going on, but I will monitor it closely on my next ride.

Let us know your range on the hub pack riding turbo-X mode. I take it
these are original TF hubs with Saft D cells? Any plans to run an aux
battery?

I will definitely do that. I have an aux pack consisting of 8 Bosch 37V Fat Packs which works well with the TF motor but I don't like the extra weight on the back of the bike. I am looking at the A123 20AH prismatics which would be an ideal pack for extended range, low-sag voltage, and lighter weight. They are also a very safe chemistry.

Hey Ambrose -- who is the mysterious Ukrainian genius who came up with
TF?
Do you or anyone else have a name to get started off? I'd be curious
to follow up on this lead. I'm sure hes off to do bigger and better
things --

but I am very curious nonetheless....

Or was it Boris Maslov (now with EnergyOne) and Alexander V. Pyntikov
(inZero)?

D,

Yes, I believe those were the two scientist/engineers behind the
Wavecrest motor.
