I want to thank everyone once again for coming out to participate in another great BEER TIE!!!  Over 40 people turned out to tie, teach, drink, and learn, and as always the camaraderie was inspiring.  As you can see from many of the pictures, the theme was to THINK PINK as we tied and collected flies for Casting For Recovery.  I don't yet have a fly count, but seeing as the stripping basket looked like a big pink float from the Macy's parade by the end of the night, I'm sure it was a lot!  Casey will chime in shortly with the actual number.  Thank you to Frank Polito who taught with me at the "Beginner's Table" last night, and to everyone else who leaned in to give a hand when needed.  Thank you also to everyone who bought hats and/or donated to our cause to help with our upcoming events.  My apologies to anyone who wanted to get a turn at the "beginner's table" but didn't get a chance.  The demand has inspired me to work on how to better accommodate the need, and I have a few good ideas.  Details to come...
At the same time, I am simply overjoyed to see how many of you who sat at the beginner's table at a previous BEER TIE have now set up a station of your own.  That is what it's all about!

I tied the brown crawfish. I threw some others in the bucket, but honestly don't remember what they were.

10 DOZEN FLIES - A NEW RECORD!  Well done everyone!  Thanks again to all who came out.  Casey and I will have to bring this thread full circle in May by posting some pictures of these flies stuck in a few fish at the CFR Retreat!  Those of you wishing to volunteer for help at any of the 2011 CFR Retreats should contact Casey Peltier directly at caseyp...@hotmail.com.  I know I'll be there!

WOW, indeed! Let me also thank you all for taking time to tie for
Casting for Recovery; the ladies will go crazy for them all! Also,
thanks to Dan and Melody for choosing CFR as the recipient of your
generosity. Expect to see the likes of me at future events paying it
forward to other worthy organizations.

Mollie
